Great to see the creative industries were one of three sectors dominating the Cardiff real estate market in 2019 (along with TMT (technology, media, telecoms and financial services)).

Whilst Wales is well known for its culture and history, it has become increasingly clear that the creative industries sector continues to make a vital contribution to the growth of the real estate market and the Cardiff economy as a whole.  With a rise in investment and research, the increase of creative clusters and networks (such as Creative Cardiff), the city now has a vibrant creative community.  This provides a platform for businesses and people to connect and share ideas and opportunities across a number of different sectors.  It has been a real driving force behind the city's success over recent years.

There is no doubt that significant investment in infrastructure (both digital and transport) will be required in order for the capital to achieve its full potential. However, there is no reason why Cardiff will not continue to be one of the leading creative capitals in the UK . And the real estate market (along with others) will reap the benefits of this.

For Lewis Silkin, as leading advisers for creative, innovative and brand-focused businesses, these are exciting times and we look forward to playing some part in Cardiff's creative journey in 2020!
